The exhibition <Forever : Barbara Kruger> at Amore Pacific Museum
was Kruger's first solo exhibition in Asia and also her first in Korea. According to reports, the artwork entitled 'Please laugh, please cry' was created in the week leading up to the opening, with Kruger personally overseeing the on-site production. Kruger's physical presence was essential as she wanted to arrange all of the works relative to the space where they would be shown. Her desire to be meticulous over the installation methods and procedures is reflected in the precision and beauty of her work.
